Smt. Sharmistha Mukherjee was born on 29th September, 1980 at Kolkata, West Bengal. She did her schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya Cossipore, Kolkata. She has passed LL.B Course from University of Calcutta. She has also passed LL.M Course from University of Calcutta. She has joined Tripura Judicial Service on 27.08.2007 and got her first posting at Agartala as Judicial Magistrate 2nd Class, Agartala,West Tripura. She has also served as SDJM, Kamalpur, North Tripura (Now Dhalai District) and also as SDJM-cum-Civil Judge (Junior Division), Dharmanagar, North Tripura. She has also served on promotion as CJM-cum-Civil Judge (Senior Division), North Tripura Judicial District, Dharmanagar, on inception of the Court. She got promoted in the Grade-II of Tripura Judicial Service on 27.08.2014. Her last posting was CJM-cum-Civil Judge (Senior Division), West Tripura Judicial District, Agartala. She got promoted in the Grade-I of Tripura Judicial Service on. Thereafter joined as Judge Family Court, Sepahijala Judicial District, Sonamura. Then transfered and posted as Additional District & Sessions Judge, West Tripura, Agartala, Court No-03. Currently, posted as Special Judge, CBI, West Trpura, Agartala
